The 11th Marine Regiment (Cannon Cockers) were stationed in Korea at the same time as 42. After many tries, I finally managed to contact the CO in 2014 who was delighted to renew the friendship between the Regiments.
I intorduced Ernie to the CO, so whilst Ernie was visiting his Daughter, who actuall just lives 20 miles from Camp Pendelton where the Regiment is based he managed to visit the Regiment and has provided these photographs for the web site. No doubt Ernie will be providing some details of his visit wherein I will add them to this page.
